Geri Splits With Aristocrat Boyfriend

Geri Halliwell has reportedly split with boyfriend of two years Henry Beckwith. The 39-year-old former Spice Girl ended her relationship with the British aristocrat after deeming him "too immature" to have a future with.

"It's sad but the relationship was getting to be very destructive, with Geri getting upset whenever Henry looked at another woman," a source told the Sunday Express.

"At 31, Henry's too immature and he's not ready to settle down. Ultimately he made Geri feel just too insecure."

Halliwell claimed to be happy with her romance as recently as April, saying: "Henry's a lovely, lovely guy and I could gush... [he's] a good influence on me, and my mum loves him too."

Speculation that their relationship could be in trouble began in May 2010 after Beckwith was photographed hand-in-hand with another woman.

Halliwell and Beckwith had been tipped to marry back in January 2010.

Melanie Brown's New BFF

They are two British singers who were part of the country's biggest girl groups - the Spice Girls and Girls Aloud, so you can understand why Mel B and Nadine Coyle have a lot in common.

But it seems the pair are more than just acquaintances and are now BFFs (or Best Friends Forever), judging by a picture Mel posted on her Twitter page.

Mel put the picture up yesterday after meeting up with the Northern Irish singer at a barbecue in Los Angeles.

She accompanied the shot with the caption: 'Look who I was hanging with,my beautiful home girl.'

Mel later added: 'Nothing like a lovely hot summers day at a bbq with a dear friend!!! Luv you lots nadine!'

And clearly smitten with her new BFF, Nadine replied: 'A wonderful night. Loves you!'

Mel, who is eight months pregnant with her third child, and Nadine have been friends for the past couple of years and have been tweeting each other to stay in contact.

Mel, 36, recently spoke about her friendship with her fellow Spice Girls - Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Melanie Chisholm - and said they will be friends forever.

She explained: 'The Spice Girls are still a family. You can't go through what we did so young and not have a special bond. We don't have to see each other all the time, and we don't have to agree on everything, but I know we will always support each other. My friends mean the world to me.'

And while fans are desperately hoping for another reunion, following the group's tour in 2007, Mel's bandmate Mel C said she's not sure it will happen in the near future.

She said: 'We all had such a great time in 2007 that I would absolutely consider it, but I have to give 100% to my new album first.'

The singer has just returned to her current home of Los Angeles after filming The X Factor in Australia.

Talking about her role as a judge on the TV talent show, Mel said: 'I'm thrilled to be a part of The X Factor Australia. I love Australia and can't wait to see all the amazing talent the country has to offer.

'As a performer, you have to put your heart and soul into it. I guess that's what I'm going to be looking for - somebody who just really wants it.

'I like to focus on the positive and not the negative. I'm sure there's going to be some crazy people out there that I'm going to meet. It's going to be fun and very interesting!'
