David Excited to Feed Harper

After a “few weeks of waiting,” David Beckham is thrilled to take his bonding with baby — daughter Harper Seven — to a whole new level. While mom Victoria has been busy nursing the 5-week-old, the couple is now adding pumped bottles to the mix.

“It’s so important that they have that mother-daughter bond and breastfeeding, I think, is really an incredible thing,” Beckham, 36, told PEOPLE during Sunday’s Do Something Awards in Los Angeles, Calif. “We’re in the process of putting it in bottles now, so that means I get to feed her — which has been amazing.”

Equally excited to take care of their new sister are brothers Brooklyn Joseph, 12, Romeo James, 8½, and Cruz David, 6½, shares Beckham, who insists that a strong family core is top priority.

“It’s just the way [Victoria and I] were brought up as kids; it’s the way we are bringing our kids up,” he says. “We make sure that the most important thing to us is our family and we’re all grounded. No matter what goes on around us, no matter what situation it is, we come together as a family and we deal with it.”

Reaffirming his dedication as a dad, Beckham is sporting some new ink these days, which only adds to his collection of tattoos.

“Obviously it’s a special one because it’s my daughter’s name,” he explains. “My first tattoo is my oldest son Brooklyn … I have all my sons’ names on me. I have my wife’s name … and I have a picture of my wife.”

David Welcomes Robbie Keane

David Beckham hits the field with his new L.A. Galaxy teammate, Robbie Keane, on Friday (August 19) at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.

The same day, the two soccer players attended a press conference, along with Landon Donovan, where Robbie proudly showed off his new #14 jersey.

The 31-year-old Irish athlete joins the Galaxy after spending most of the past 15 years in England. He most recently played for Premier League football club Tottenham Hotspur.

Also pictured: David boogie boarding with his sons, Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz, in Malibu later in the afternoon.

Beckham's Want One More Child

David Beckham has revealed that he and wife Victoria Beckham have always planned to have five children together. The footballer and the fashion designer are parents to Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, 8, Cruz, 6, and new arrival Harper Seven.

David has now admitted that the pair "hope" to have one more baby.

"We'd like to have one more," he told Extra's AJ Calloway. "If we're lucky, we hope to have one more.

"We've always said we'd have a big family and five was the number. Victoria's doing amazingly well, we'll see."

Commenting on his sons' relationship with the new arrival, David added: "All the boys won't leave her alone, which is amazing. She's a mixture of all three of the boys actually [and] she's got Victoria's nose, thankfully."

David recently joked that he will need a "shotgun" now that he has a girl, insisting that he will be a protective father.

The couple reportedly have no desire to return to the UK in the near future as they would prefer to raise their children in California.

Harpar Seven Beckham

He said earlier this week he is learning to be more 'delicate' with new daughter Harper Seven after having three sons with wife Victoria Beckham. But David is clearly smitten with her little girl and couldn't resist taking an intimate snap of Victoria and their baby daughter as they slept.

Posting the touching photograph to his Facebook page David gushed: 'I took this picture of my two girls sleeping...' A similar picture was posted by Victoria on Twitter and the footballer couldn't look any more tender as he cradles his daughter.

Victoria posted the picture on her Twitter page with the caption: 'Daddy's little girl!'

In the shot, David is seen touching noses with his little girl, who is wrapped up in a blanket and wearing a little hat.

Yesterday David showed his joy over the arrival of the pair's first daughter when he took to the football pitch with Harper's name stitched on his football boots.

In addition to the names of Beckham's three sons with wife Victoria, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, the boots have now been embroidered with the name of the couple's new daughter, Harper.

Beckham also went for the colour pink for the boots to highlight his joy at having a little girl to add to his brood.

Accompanying a picture of the boots on his Facebook site, Beckham wrote: 'Check out my boots for the Real Madrid match. A little extra stitching needed from now on....'

And despite the fact that LA Galaxy lost to Real Madrid 4-1, nothing could dampen Beckham's spirits as he headed home after the match.

Beckham spoke earlier this week about little Harper, admitting he and Victoria had decided on the unusual moniker after the former Spice Girl's favourite author, To Kill A Mockingbird's Harper Lee.

In a series of videos posted on his official Facebook page, the 36-year-old sportsman spoke of his joy as becoming a father for the fourth time.

He said: 'A lot of thought goes into our children's names and Harper was a name that we've loved for a long time for a couple of reasons.

'One reason is Harper's an old English name which we loved and one of the other reasons was Victoria's favourite book is To Kill A Mockingbird and the author was Harper Lee. It's a very strong, passionate book. That's where Harper came from.

'To have another girl in the family is really incredible. We've got three beautiful healthy boys already and we're so lucky to have that and now to have a beautiful little girl.

'Having a daughter is a whole new thing. Having pink in the house, having lilac in the house... and you have to be a lot more delicate with girls than boys and I'm not used to that so it's a whole new experience.'

Beckham's online video comes a day after his wife spoke of her joy as becoming a mother to little Harper.

The ex-Spice Girl delivered the 7lbs, 10oz baby at 7:55am last Sunday morning via caesarean section.

She Tweeted: 'Baby Harper is the most beautiful baby girl I have ever seen, I have fallen in love all over again!!!

'We all feel so blessed and the boys love their baby sister so much!!! X VB.'

Celebration for Harpars Birth

One day after the birth of Harper Seven Beckham on Sunday, David took Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz out for a celebratory dinner. While Victoria and Harper Seven didn’t dine with the boys, some of Victoria’s family from the U.K. did come out for Monday night’s meal.

David, 36, and sons Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, 8, and Cruz, 6, were part of a large group of 11 guests, including 6 adults and 5 kids. The group arrived at West Hollywood’s newly opened Mediterranean eatery FIG & OLIVE Melrose Place at about 7:30 p.m. and stayed for around two hours. “Everybody was in a very good mood, and they left happy,” a source told Us Weekly.

The Beckham party chose to be seated in the restaurant’s indoor terrace garden, and most of the group enjoyed steak and mashed potatoes.

“It was a very relaxed and early family dinner,” the source added.

Victoria, 37, and David’s rep told Us that the family was “delighted” with the birth of their “happy and healthy” baby girl.

Game Against Real Madrid

David Beckham says is eagerly anticipating Saturday’s international friendly against Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The 36-year old LA Galaxy midfielder spent a few years with Madrid before moving to the USA in 2007 and is excited about meeting up with some of his former teammates in the Herbalife World Football Challenge.

Beckham missed the clash between the two sides last summer so is looking forward to being on the pitch with players from his former club.

“It was disappointing (to miss out) because you always want to play in those games. They’re exciting games, especially in front of a capacity crowd. Hopefully I’ll be good for this one,” he said.

“To be facing Real Madrid for the first time since I left, it’s emotional. You get attached to a club, you get attached to people in a club.

“I spent four amazing years at Real Madrid. To go from a club like Manchester United to Real Madrid, it really doesn’t get much better than that in football. I’ve got many friends still there, many friends as players and fans and throughout the club as well.”

Beckham's Baby Girl is Here

David & Victoria Beckham are delighted to announce the birth of their daughter! Happy and healthy she arrived at 7.55 am this morning at Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles and weighed 7lbs 10oz. Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz are excited to welcome their new baby sister to the family - Simon Oliveira, David´s PR.

Following the birth of David and Victoria Beckham‘s fourth child and first daughter Harper Seven Beckham, celebrities have taken to Twitter to congratulate the pair, while others have given their own reactions to the intriguing choice of name.

The baby girl, who weighed in at 7lbs 10oz, was born on Sunday at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Fellow Spice Girl Emma Bunton: “Big kiss to Victoria Beckham can’t wait to meet your gorgeous little girl! (sic).”

Mel B, currently also pregnant: “Congrats!!! Yipeee another spice baby is born, damn i wish it was me this AM cos I feel like I’m about to Pop!”

David At The Consul General Reception

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were the toast of Hollywood last night as they attended a reception on their first official visit to America.

The couple were joined by 200 guests for drinks and canapés in the garden of the Consul General’s residence in Los Angeles including David Beckham, Stephen Fry and Lord Freddie Windsor, who now lives in the city with his actress wife Sophie Winkleman.

Prince William was greeted warmly by David Beckham who had attended the couple’s wedding in April. Although he was not on the official guest list for the party, royal aides said that he particularly wanted to welcome the couple to Los Angeles and deliver several signed LA Galaxy shirts which Prince William will auction for one of his charities.

Dressed in a black suit with a blue spotted tie, Beckham attended without his wife Victoria, who is due to give birth to a girl next week.

The footballer told Prince William: ‘Victoria really wanted to come but she is just so tired at the moment. She sent you both lots of love. How was Canada? It looked amazing.‘

Prince William replied: ‘Don’t be silly, send her all our love and tell her good luck with it all. It’s been an amazing few days – we’ve been so lucky with all the incredible places we’ve been able to see and we’ve met so many fascinating people. It’s been amazing, amazing.‘

Beckham also spoke about the media frenzy surrounding the birth of his first daughter.

He said: ‘I woke up on Wednesday to a tonne of messages on my voicemail from our friends congratulating me on the birth of our daughter.

‘I turned to Victoria and said: “Did I miss something?” Apparently it’s being reported every day that she’s already been born. One way or another, fingers crossed, she’ll be with us in the next few days.’

Beckhams At Cars 2 Premier

She’s used to regular jet-setting trips across the Atlantic, attending glitzy A-list parties and busy business meetings with her design team. But just two weeks out from her July due date, Victoria Beckham appears to be starting to slow down a bit.

The pregnant star, 37, spent the weekend at the cinema, taking in two family films – Cars 2 and Mr Popper’s Penguins – with husband David and their three sons.

A fresh-faced Victoria and David were pictured at the after-party for Pixar film Cars 2 on Saturday. The couple watched the animated film with their children Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and Cruz, six. They posed with one of the film’s stars, Daniel Lawrence Whitney – aka Larry the Cable Guy – and his wife Cara Whitney.

David, 36, and Victoria, matching in all-black ensembles, were pictured leaving the party through the back entrance with their boys.

Victoria also told fans on Twitter that the family had also watched new Jim Carrey flick Mr Popper’s Penguins over the weekend.

With just a fortnight left before she is due to give birth to the couple’s first daughter on July 4, it is understandable that the designer is finally opting for quiet outings with her family over her usually hectic showbusiness lifestyle.

The couple shunned the red carpet at Saturday’s Cars 2 premiere, leaving Owen Wilson, Nicole Scherzinger and Sheryl Crow to lap up the limelight, and sneaked out via the back door after making a brief appearance at the after-party. And it seems that the family are ensuring that their lifestyle is as relaxing as possible after their baby arrives too.

According to reports, the Beckhams have rented a luxury home on the beach at Malibu to spend the summer in. The sprawling estate overlooks the ocean and includes a large pool where the family can wile away their summer and enjoy quality time with their newest addition.

Samsung’s Olympic Campaign

David Beckham launched Samsung’s Olympic campaign this afternoon – but kept fans guessing about his involvement in London 2012.

The ex-Manchester Utd ace has been linked with a number of roles – including a possible coaching position within the Great Britain football team. However the footie ace, who last won a cap for the English national side in 2009, remained tight-lipped, claiming his main priority is taking his kids Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz to the event.

Becks, the global ambassador for the spectacle, said: “I’m incredibly excited. It’s the first time I’m going to be at an Olympics. I’m proud and delighted to be able take my sons to an Olympic Games in our country, in the area where I grew up. And hopefully my daughter will be there too.”

When asked what his involvement will be, tanned David replied: “We’ll see. That’s a question on many people’s lips. I’ve been asked a few times what my involvement will be. I’m going to be a fan, that’s the biggest thing, watching the athletes that we’ve got. People like Jessica Ennis and Tom Daley, young athletes who will inspire so many young children around the world, not just in our country. “That’s an exciting prospect.”

David, who helped London bid for the Games back in 2005, added: “The Olympics mean the world to everyone and it’s such a great event to be part of. I remember the rivalries between Seb Coe and Steve Ovett but the exciting thing will be seeing athletes from all over the world in the area where I grew up. When Seb Coe and the London 2012 team asked me to get involved in the bid to bring the Olympics not just to our country but to the part of London where I grew up I must admit I was sceptical at first. I’d obviously never competed in the Olympics so was honoured and flattered to be part of the team. And the moment that we actually got the Olympics – to be part of that – was one of the most rewarding moments of my career. It was so special.”

David and pregnant wife Victoria are expecting their fourth child – confirmed to be a girl – on July 4.

The midfielder jetted in from LA this morning especially to launch Samsung’s Olympic campaign. And today he announced 18-year-old Gabriella Roseje from Bermondsey as his first nomination to be one of the 8000 torchbearers at the event.

Sports fanatic Gabriella helps work with disadvantaged kids in the capital.

David said: “Gabriella is an impressive and inspiring person. Not only is she successful in her own right, she willingly supports and help those around her. Gabriella stands out for all the right reasons.”

Gabriella said: “It came as a surprise but I’m so excited and proud. I hope my nomination inspires others to nominate someone.”

A Tattoo On His Manhood ?

David Beckham has joked that he hasn't ruled out getting a tattoo on his manhood. The Los Angeles Galaxy footballer told chatshow host Craig Ferguson that he is keen to add to the "30 or 31" tattoos he has already had done.

When Ferguson asked: "Did you get any on your business?" Beckham quipped: "Not yet…" before telling the host that he had been "thinking about it" as they discussed it further.

However, the 36-year-old confessed that his mother is "not happy" that he has had his arms completely inked. "Every time I have a tattoo she's like, 'Not another one'," he said.

Beckham went on to admit that he would not be sure about allowing his new daughter - reportedly due on July 4 - to get one.

"I'm not sure I would let her get tattoos but the boys I couldn't really argue with," he said. "I love mine personally, but I'm not sure they're going to look great when I'm 75."

Beckham recently confirmed that he will launch his own underwear range later this year.

They are among the world's wealthiest power couples with an estimated fortune of £165m. But it seems that there is no stopping the Beckhams as David has revealed he will be following in his wife's footsteps by releasing his own fashion range and scent.

The 36-year-old footballer is to launch a men’s bodywear line and fragrance, called Homme by David Beckham, which will come out later this year.

Making the transition from pop star to fashion designer has been a relatively smooth transition for Victoria and her designs have been hailed a global hit with celebrities from Jennifer Lopez to Halle Berry pictured in her creations.

But far from being threatened, Posh couldn't be happier with her husband's new plans.And she even released a picture of the LA Galaxy star, Tweeting: 'David announced today he is launching his own bodywear range!!! x'

With their combined earnings boosted by £20 million this year alone it appears that Mr Beckham is keen to get involved in the industry.

He told WWD: 'I have had the idea of doing a bodywear collection for some time now. The push to do something of my own really came as a result of my collaboration with Armani.'

David fronted the Emporio Armani underwear campaign in 2007, appearing on giant billboards and magazine spreads, which resulted in a doubling of profits for the Italian company in one year, from around £14.1 million to £38.7 million.

Taking note, he has stated that he too will be the 'face' of his new brand which will sport a specially-designed logo, created by fashion designer Stella McCartney's husband Alasdhair Willis. His Armani experience gave him insight into the fashion industry and he soon spotted a gap in the market for well-cut T-shirts and fitted boxer shorts.

He said: 'It proved to me that there is a real market for good-looking, well-made men's bodywear.'

The new fragrance meanwhile will join two existing Beckham-branded scents: David Beckham Instinct, and Intimately Beckham, co-launched with Victoria in 2006.

The London-born footballer, has been working with his and Victoria's business manager, Simon Fuller to launch the venture.

Fuller said: 'David and I have a number of ambitious and exciting ideas in development across a broad range of categories. The next 10 years will see David evolve into being recognised, not just as an iconic sports figure, but also as an important entrepreneur.'

If Victoria's fashion success is anything to go by this will be a lucrative move for the power couple.It will also help secure the family, who are expecting their first daughter this July, long after David retires from his footballing career.

He said: ‘I'm getting older now and I don't have many years left. This is my last contract year, but who knows what will happen.’

And to ensure that everything goes to plan Mr Beckham, father of Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, eight, and Cruz, five, has been involved in the process from start to finish.

'With my team we have spent time working on the fit, the fabric and the style to ensure the product looks and feels the very best and I am hugely proud of the end result. I can't wait to show people the collection - although I'm not sure my mum will be too happy seeing a billboard image of me in underwear again.'

There is no launch date set for the clothing range but the scent will be released in September.
