Melanie C would love to work on 'The X Factor'. While Mel's former Spice Girl bandmate Mel B has recently signed up to appear on the Australian version of the talent show, Mel admitted she would jump at the chance to take on one of the vacant spots left by Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole in the UK version, because she would love to mentor young hopefuls.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz at the launch of new TV channel Disney Junior, she said: "I think I'd really enjoy the mentoring part of the show but I don't know how comfortable I'd feel judging people. I did some work for Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'Over The Rainbow' and I really enjoyed the mentoring part of it and the whole experience. I'm happy to pass on any bit of knowledge to new people coming in to the business."
Mel is not the only celebrity to be linked with the UK 'X Factor' after Simon and Cheryl quit to launch the US version, with Gary Barlow and Alesha Dixon recently mentioned as possibilities to join Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue on the panel.
